Poster presenters – Instructions

Each poster contributor will be provided with one panel measuring
96 cm (width)  x 117 cm (height).

Posters will be on display from Wednsday morning, 10 February, to Friday, 12 February 2010, afternoon in the poster room.

The authors are requested to be in the proximity of their posters during the Poster Plenaries (I-II) on Thursday, 11 February 2010 at (I) 12.30-13.30, and Friday, 12 February 2010 at (II) 12.00-13.00.

Please refer to the final programme for your poster number.

The posters should be put up on Wednesday, 10 February 2010 between 08.00–09.00. They should be removed on Friday, 12 February, before 14.00.

All material needed for mounting of posters will be provided. Please do not use any other materials.

NB! Poster presenters must register and pay the required registration fee at the latest by 2 November 2009.

Oral free communications – Instructions

The time for oral free communication presentation is 15 minutes including discussion. Please adhere to your allotted time as a courtesy to other speakers. Please, check the final programme for your presentation time in case of changes in the programme.

Presentations in PowerPoint
Data (with PowerPoint programme) projectors are available in the session rooms. The PC for PowerPoint presentation will be fixed in the meeting rooms.

Speakers are requested to send their presentation slides as an attachment file to an e-mail message to the Secretariat (betterwork@ttl.fi) by 5 February 2010. Entitle the message as BWW/ session number/ your own surname. If the PowerPoint file (attachment file) is greater than 5 MB, please contact the Secretariat for alternative transfer modes.

Note that to minimize technical problems in the transfer of the PowerPoint file, we recommend to avoid using slide show effects. If you have files larger than 50 MB or, for example a mpg-file with audio, please contact the Secretariat well in advance to check the compatibility of the equipment. If you have any further questions, please contact the Conference Secretariat at betterwork (at) ttl.fi .

 

Invited speakers – Instructions

The time for oral free communication presentation is 30 minutes including discussion. Please adhere to your allotted time as a courtesy to other speakers. Please, check the final programme for your presentation time in case of changes in the programme.

Chairs – Instructions

Please meet with the other chair of your session 5–10 minutes before the session in the lecture hall, in order to agree about how you want to divide the tasks, such as the introduction of speakers.

The speakers have been advised to meet the chairpersons of their session in the lecture hall 5-10 minutes before the session.

The chairs of the session can make the decision on whether the discussions are held after each presentation or at the end of the session.

Each speaker is advised to check personally his/her power point presentation or slides in advance.

There will be one to two technical assistants in every session. The technical assistants will also meet with the chairpersons and speakers 5-10 minutes before the session. The technical assistants will take care of the lights and advance the power point slides if required.

Proceedings

The organizers are planning to publish a proceedings in summer 2010. The proceedings will include a selection of the presentations held. Invitations were sent during December 2009 to the presenters selected for the proceedings publication.

NB! The delegates will receive the Programme&Abstracts book and Appendix (incl. last minutes changes to the programme, list of participants, etc) when arriving to the Conference site.
