List of NanOEH2009 exhibitors

1. TSI Instruments TSI Incorporated serves a global market by investigating, identifying and solving measurement problems. As an industry leader in the design and production of precision measurement instruments, TSI partners with research institutions and customers around the world to set the standard for measurements relating to aerosol science, air flow, indoor air quality, fluid dynamics and biohazard detection. With headquarters based in the U.S. and field offices throughout Europe and Asia, TSI has established a worldwide presence in the markets we serve. Every day, our dedicated employees turn research into reality. Contact person: Ms. Anke Dieterich Address: Neukoellner Strasse 4, 52068 Aachen, Germany Phone: +49 241 523 0325 E-mail: anke.dieterich (at) tsi.com
2. The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) represents the merger of the Universität Karlsruhe with the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe. With about 8000 employees and an annual budget of more than a billion Euros, KIT has the potential of becoming a leading institution in top research and excellent academic training in the field of Energy, Nano & Micro Science and Environmental Technology. One of our developments is an exposure system for bioassays which allows to measure and quantify biological effects of airborne nanoparticles and give an interference to their toxic effects. Contact person: Dr. Rainer Körber (Koerber) Address: Herman-von-Heimholtz-Platz 1, 76344 Eggenstein_Leopoldshafen, Germany Phone: +49 7247 82 5587 Fax: +49 7247 82 5523 E-mail: rainer.koerber (at) kit.edu

3. NanoSight Ltd. NanoSight produce unique instrumentation for the characterisation of nanoparticles in a liquid suspension down to a particle size of 10nm. Particle size and concentration, both key parameters for toxicological research, are measured in an alternative and orthogonal technique to DLS. By individually tracking the Brownian motion of each particle separately but simultaneously, a high resolution plot of the particle size distribuition profile is rapidly obtained. This avoids the averaging assumptions of dynamic light scattering, going beyond DLS in assessing polydisperse systems and provides a unique image. Contact person: Mr. Patric Hole Address: Minton Park, London Road, Amesbury, Wiltshire, SP4 7RT, UK Phone: +44 1980 676060 Fax: +44 1980 624703 E-mail: admin (at) nanosight.com

4. GRIMM Aerosol Technik GRIMM Aerosol Technik offers a wide range of complete solutions for the continuous measurement of fine and ultrafine aerosols, instruments such as Environmental Dust Monitors, Aerosol Spectrometers, Particle Counters and Sizers, Filter Testers, and Aerosol Generators consistently meet the requirements of a world-wide increasing number of customers in research and industry, and are used for various applications, e.g. ambient air, emission, occupational health, filter efficiency and/ or exhaust gas measurement, quality control, pharmaceutical, atmospheric or epidemiological studies. Contact person: Mr. Jürgen Spielvogel Address: Dorstrasse 9, 83404, Ainring, Germany Phone: +49 8654 57824 Fax: +49 8654 57835 E-mail: JSP (at) grimm-aerosol.com

5. Pegasor Ltd. Pegasor Oy manufactures the world’s first continuously operating nano and fine particle sensor. Sensor is ideal for industrial hygiene applications where worker’s safety is important. As an alarm indicator Pegasor Particle Sensor (PPS) indicates when user set limits for maximum particle concentration in the working place is exceeded. PPS reports total surface area of particles and is at the moment the best cost efficient solution in the market. Contact person: Mr. Juha Tikkanen Address: Hämeenkatu 15 b 12, Tampere, Finland Phone: +358 50 3509064 Fax: +358 3 3632359 E-mail: juha.tikkanen (at) pegasor.fi
