The objective of the study is to determine whether digital feedback and learning systems can improve safety of forklift drivers. The study is an intervention study, and we use a before-after frame to assess the possibilities that digital feedback and learning systems present for safety.

The study material will be gathered from four companies during 2016–2019, using methods of document analysis, questionnaires and interviews. The two interventions are scheduled in a way that enables us to assess the effects of both. We will also conduct interviews to determine other changes and factors that influence safety. Safety level will be assessed using questionnaires at the beginning and the end of the study.

The study is funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund, FIOH and Toyota Material Handling.
