The Future of Care Work (CAREFUTURE)
We alleviate the care crisis through innovations. We promote the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and the organization of care work in ways that keep it attractive and ethical.
The need for care is increasing, there is a labour shortage and turnover among care workers and nurses is high. In the Future of Care Work (CAREFUTURE) project, we dig into the core of these challenges and look for solutions that will change the future of care work.
- We explore how the care crisis can be mitigated by innovations in care provided by citizens, employees and organizations. We select the best innovations, develop them further and promote their dissemination.
- We consider the ethics and sustainability of AI-based solutions in care work. We develop an ethical framework for critical self-evaluation.
- This way, together we can cultivate sustainable innovation capabilities and culture together.
The project is funded by the Strategic Research Council (SRC) established within the Research Council of Finland.
