Organization
Our organization consists of the Centre of Expertise for Research, the Centre of Expertise for TTL Services, Centre of Expertise for Development and Support and their units.
The Centre of Expertise for Research is responsible for the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health’s research and development activities as well as expert work and stakeholder cooperation aimed at influencing society.
The Centre of Expertise for TTL Services is responsible for the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health’s service business and customers.
The Centre of Expertise for Development and Support is responsible for the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health’s internal development and digitalization, matters related to personnel, communications and finances as well as operative support.
Leadership and management
The main decision-making body of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health is its Board of Directors. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health appoints the members of the Board of Directors every three years. In addition to the state, labour market organizations are represented in the Board of Directors.
The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health is led by the Director General. The Director General’s strategic management of the Institute is supported by the Management Team of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, the Management Team for central government transfer activities and the Management Team for services. The management teams’ role is to ensure that the strategy is implemented, reinforce the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health’s role in developing work life and build the internal co-operation and trust within the Institute.
