Agricultural entrepreneurs’ workload, physical and psychological symptoms, work ability and retirement intentions
Objectives
The survey is targeted at agricultural entrepreneurs with MYEL insurance. We will investigate the following:
- the load of agricultural work in different production sectors
- agricultural entrepreneurs' physical, psychological, and respiratory symptoms
- relationships between perceived symptoms and work ability.
We produce up-to-date information on factors affecting the health and work ability of agricultural entrepreneurs to help target preventive measures to working conditions and workload factors associated with significant health risks.
Data and methods
The data will be collected through an online survey conducted between September and November 2026. The data will be analysed using appropriate statistical methods.
The HUS Regional Committee on Medical Research Ethics has issued a favourable ethical opinion for the study (HUS/3417/2026).
Results and impact
The findings of the study will be reported in scientific manuscripts and a final report.
