Taite - Strength from the Group for Job Searching (Taite+)
Data and methods
In the project, professionals in the fields of employment and work ability support are trained to become Taite instructors. Also, the project strengthens the dialogue between various groups of professionals by implementing peer group activities among Taite instructors. Guidelines and practices for improving the suitability of the Taite coaching materials for guiding clients from vulnerable groups are developed in collaboration with the professionals.
In addition, an operating model that supports the maintenance of the gained skills, mental well-being and inclusion after the coaching and promotes employment will be created during the project. Also, we aim to identify ways to strengthen the multidisciplinary use of the Taite coaching in regional ecosystems to promote employment and work ability.
We collect and disseminate information on the impact that the coaching has on participants’ employability, well-being, and inclusion as well as the implementation of the coaching within the service system.
The methods are:
- Taite instructor training in the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health’s online learning environment.
- Online co-development workshops for Taite instructors and other professionals in the field of employment and work ability support.
- Evaluation of the effects and implementation of the Taite coaching using surveys and interviews aimed at Taite coaching participants, professionals, and the organizations providing employment or health services.
Results and impact
During the project, a total of 100 professionals will be trained to become Taite instructors, introducing new competence to the provision of support for vulnerable client groups. At the end of the project, a handbook for applying the Taite coaching will be published, offering practical tools for instructing and adapting the coaching to meet these clients' needs. The handbook will also provide professionals with follow-up tasks and operating models that support the maintenance of the skills and mental well-being that the jobseekers can achieve during the coaching. The handbook will be designed so that it can be used in general guidance work without applying Taite coaching.
The project will provide valuable information on the benefits and implementation of the Taite coaching. In addition, it will also describe the possible role of the coaching in regional ecosystems for promoting employment as part of multidisciplinary service processes.
The project’s results and materials will be compiled and made freely available on this website after the conclusion of the project.
