The 4th Conference on Prolonging Working Life
Towards sustainable working lives in times of demographic changes
15-16 April 2027 Helsinki
Welcome to the 4th Conference on Prolonging Working Life. The aim of the Conference is to share knowledge and discuss research results of the national and international projects related to Prolonging Working Life in times of demographic changes.
This conference continues the series initiated by the PEROSH project “Prolonging Working Life” in 2018. The PEROSH project aims to identify both push and stay factors influencing the labour market participation of older workers across different European countries.
Deadline for submitting abstracts is 30 November 2026.
Registration is already open. The Conference is hybrid, so the presentations can be given on-site in THL Helsinki or on-line in Teams. There is no registration fee. Today, the scope of the conference has broadened. In addition to its original focus, the themes of the Helsinki conference also include the position of young people in working life as well as the impact of demographic changes on working life.

The Conference is organized by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health (FIOH) in collaboration with the PEROSH Network, LIFECON and SustAgeable projects of the Finnish DEMOGRAPHY Programme.
